I prefer to work without much preparation. With material and color palette in mind I let the layers of abstraction take shape. Similar to life itself guidance comes from the conscious and unconscious, the current and the past.  I like not knowing the exact final outcome. Patterns present themselves, color and light merges to be a focus or to be minimized and reworked into the new.

Because I work alone so much it is a wonderful change when I have the opportunity to collaborate on a commissioned project.
